Chalk Pond Retrievers is a business where located on a dead end dirt road just outside of Bethel, Maine, their home sits on 42 acres with 2 ponds for the dogs to enjoy. In addition to walking trails in the woods and swimming in the pond, Chalk Pond Retrievers have a huge yard that is fenced in for their safety.
Chalk Pond Retrievers strive for a Labrador that is small in stature, good natured, with a thick coat, blocky head and otter tail. All clearances must be met before any breeding. Their dogs are calm, gentle and well-trained. All of them attend obedience classes, have their CGC (canine good citizens) certificates and have been trained to duck hunt. Their labs are extremely versatile, Chalk Pond Retrievers can duck hunt with them in the morning and take them hiking in the afternoon. Or, as Chalk Pond Retrievers like to call that: The Perfect Day.
